14 DAY LEMON WATER CHALLENGE

Detoxification (“detox”), as a procedure that allegedly purifies the body of chemicals and toxins, has been known for centuries. It is being  used widely and many religious groups and philosophers recommend it, including the father of Medicine, Hippocrates.

Many detox diets nowadays can help you lose weight. If you start a low-calorie fasting, your body can starve and your metabolism will slow down because of the important nutrients loss.

One easy change anybody could make is replacing one meal with something healthy, like Beyonce’s low-calorie lemon drink.

Why it could work for you

  1. It’s low in calories.
    There are no magical qualities about lemon that make it good for weight loss — it’s simply low in calories! Exercise can certainly help weight loss, but it doesn’t do much good if you’re eating more calories than you’re losing, according to WebMD. Lemon is great because it adds lots of flavor with very few calories.
  2. It’s a metabolism booster.
    Cayenne pepper revs up your metabolism and helps burn a few extra calories. This South American pepper is rich in flavanoids and carotenoids, which contribute to eye health and slows the onset of age-related macular degeneration. Cayenne contains capsaicin, which has been known to be very effective at reducing pain and improving joint movement to stiffness in muscles. Lastly due to its spicy kick, consuming cayenne will raise your body temperature and eliminate toxins through sweat. Although many people are not bog fans of sweating, this is a natural way to benefit your health. Sweating allows our bodies to detox by flushing out toxins and other unwanted substances. In addition, sweating opens your pores and helps keep your skin looking fresh. Maybe you prefer less spicy, so use less cayenne pepper, but the amount of each ingredient I listed out for you ends up being PERFECT.
  3. You won’t skip breakfast.
    Like the old saying goes, breakfast is the most important meal of the day. However, many people think they can cut calories by skipping the meal altogether. But Elizabeth Ward, author of The Pocket Idiot’s Guide to the New Food Pyramids, told WebMD that people who skip breakfast “usually end up eating more throughout the day.”

14 Day Lemon Water Challenge

Day 1:
Mix together one squeezed lemon with a cup of water and consume right after waking up.

Day 2:
Mix together two lemons into two cups of water. You may add honey for taste. Consume it before eating breakfast.

Day 3:
Mix together the juice from three  lemons with three cups of water and a little honey.

Day 4:
Mix together the juice from four  lemons with four cups of water and a little honey. Consume it twice a day, in the morning and in the evening before going to bed.

Day 5:
Squeeze five lemons and mix the juice with 5 cups of water and honey. Drink it twice a day.

Day 6:
Mix together the juice from six lemons with six cups of water and a little honey.

Consume the mixture three times a day.

Day 7:
Mix together the juice from three lemons and 10 cups of water. Consume it three times a day before meals.

Day 8:
Use 6 lemons and 6 cups of water to make the drink.

Day 9:
Drink juice from 5 lemons, 5 cups of water and a tablespoon of honey.

Day 10:
Mix 4 lemons juice with 4 cups of water and one tablespoon of honey.

Day 11:
Squeeze 3 lemons and mix the juice with 3 cups of water. Add a teaspoon of honey and drink it twice a day.

Day 12:
Mix lemon juice from 2 lemons with 2 cups of water and drink it in the morning before breakfast.

Day 13:
Drink juice from one lemon and one cup of water.

Day 14:
Prepare a drink from 3 lemons and 10 cups of water. Also, add a tablespoon of honey before you consume it. (2)

Accept this challenge and lose your extra weight for only two weeks. You should make a pause for several days, and then you can continue the challenge another 14 days. The results will be amazing. Your body is going to be really thankful.
