Towel It Off: No-Equipment Total-Body Workout
Have you been trying to melt extra pounds, gain muscle or tone your body? If you are more than ready than this workout plan is great for men and women. Skip the gym. Head to your linen closet. Get a thick towel. Yes, that’s all you need. Add a little creativity, and a smooth floor for an effective total body workout.
Static Lunge Row
Stay still while Pulling both sides of the towel. Make sure your elbows are close to your body. Your shoulder blades are squeezed toward your spine and your back is straight.
Your bottom hand should be facing out while your shoulders are relaxed. Raise your top arm until it is straight and your bottom hand reaches the center of your back and bring back down to starting position
Balancing pull down
Pull the towel out in front of you, raise the towel up over your head until your arms are straight out. While your arms are raised, raise your body by getting on your toes. And go back to the starting position.
Skate ‘n Slide
Place the towel under one foot. Bend the foot without the towel, while slide the other foot to the side. Make sure not to bend your knees, shift your weight into your heels and you press your hips up.
Lay on your stomach with your arms straight out over you. Place a towel under both hands. Slide the towel towards you and raise your upper body. Return back to the starting position.
Shifting Push up
Lay on your stomach again, place your hands right at your stomach and put a towel under one hand. Raise your upper body up with your arms performing a modified push up.
Lay on your back with your legs up at a 90 Degree angle, make sure to cross your knees. Place the towel under your head and hold each side with both hands. Rock your body from one side to the other.
Plank Pull ups
Place a towel under your feet and get into the high plank position. Bring your knees to your chest and go back to the starting position
